Idaho native Glen Ricks started Glen Ricks Photography in 1979 out of his apartment while attending BYU. Today Glen Ricks Photography Inc is considered to be one of the top portrait/wedding studios in the country.

Glen is known for personalizing your session by going on-location. Whether it be the beach at Utah Lake, the mountains, a park or at your home, it is his goal to create images that are customized to his clients' desires! His portrait and wedding assignments have taken him as far away as Hawaii and Mexico City, Mexico. The studio is located in American Fork, Utah and has been recognized in the community as a business of excellence!

Glen's local and national awards are numerous. He is currently recognized as one of only 7 premier photographers in Utah holding the degrees Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, & Certified Professional Photographer. He has won several awards for his photographic excellence - including the prestigious National Kodak Gallery Award.

What does it mean to be a "certifed professional photographer"? Anyone can call themselves a professional photographer. But to be PPA Certified is a designation granted by the Professional Photographers of America. Those who have earned the PPA Certification have passed a comprehensive 4 hour written exam measuring their technichal expertise, and have successfully submitted their work to a panel of judges for reveiw and approval. Every five years, a PPA Certified photographer must renew his/her credentials by participating in continuing education programs and periodically submitting work for critical evaluation. This helps assure you that your photographer maintains his level of expertise and continues to develop new skills and techniques.

Glen has a reputation for fine quality and because of his willingness to serve, he has been invited to serve on the board of directors of many professional organizations nationally, regionally, and locally. He is a member of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Freedom Festival Foundation, as well as several photographic organizations.
